MACHEL HEWITT: Perhaps losing the 21-game unbeaten run is the best thing that could happen.

All good runs have to come to an end.

Bromley made sure there could be no qualms about the result as they served up an ugly and disjointed 90 minutes that saw them deservedly lose to the league’s bottom club.

They rode their luck during an equally abject performance against relegation-threatened Newport a few weeks ago, but they didn’t get away with it a second time and were rightly punished.

Perhaps losing the 21-game unbeaten run is the best thing that could happen. The weight is off their shoulders, and with six games to go, they can refocus on the prize of automatic promotion, and, if Woodman insists, the League Two title.
