In Review: Bristol Rovers 2-3 Bromley

MACHEL HEWITT: Miles off the pace, the Ravens found themselves 2-0 down at the midway point, yet found enough Christmas spirit in the second half to claw their way to a win, secured in the dying embers by a Ben Thompson winner.

Football is a funny old game.

On paper, Bromley’s Boxing Day visit to 22nd-place Bristol Rovers, who only have 16 league goals to their name, looked like a late Christmas present. All they had to do was turn up and unwrap it.

But during the first half, their present almost went in the bin. Miles off the pace, the Ravens found themselves 2-0 down at the midway point, yet found enough Christmas spirit in the second half to claw their way to a win, secured in the dying embers by a Ben Thompson winner.

So grab a mince pie and join me as I assess The Good, The Bad and The Ugly from Bromley’s 3-2 win at Bristol Rovers.
