Bromley got their Vertu Trophy campaign off to a ‘winning’ start with a penalty shoot-out victory over a young Crystal Palace side.
It might look like it was a six-goal thriller, but that would be far from the truth. Bromley were the dominant side, and were it not for a mistake at the death, would have been deserved winners inside 90 minutes. Alas, that’s not the way it panned out.
