“There is a culture that permeates from the pitch to off the pitch. There is very much a sense at Bromley that everyone is in this together, from players to staff to fans.”

I was interviewed by a BBC writer about Bromley earlier this week, and that was the crux of the point I tried to get across.

These past five years, bad performances have been so far and few between that Bromley fans go into fixtures knowing that if the opposition are going to get the W, they will have to play very well. That is a blessing we perhaps take for granted.

That said, does Oldham away represent Bromley’s hardest test of the season so far? The cynic in us suspects Bromley’s unbeaten run will come to an end at some point. But after seven games without an L, is the long trip to Greater Manchester the banana skin it seems? If you want to be in the mix at the end of the season, these are the kinds of fixtures you need to pull your socks up for, so it will be interesting to see how the Ravens approach the game.
