MACHEL HEWITT: Cambridge United will bring high-octane, brutalist, percentages-first, fine margin football to Hayes Lane tonight. Remind you of anyone?

And so we repeat Saturday at MK Dons, but this time with a chance to do the dirt at home on a Thursday night in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

The ‘small’ matter of Cambridge United stands between Bromley and the three points that will guarantee promotion, also pushing them one strong step closer to the League Two title.

The stakes are also high for Cambridge, who are third, but only one point above Notts County, albeit with a game in hand. Ideally, they will want a win at Bromley to give them a foothold in the automatic promotion places, but I suspect they wouldn’t be too disappointed with a point.

Their 4-0 win over Notts County on Saturday will have dealt the Magpies a psychological blow, but the gap is still incredibly slender.
