Fleetwood Town are one of only three clubs in League Two with a 100% winning record.

Manager Peter Wild has been putting his imprint on the squad for the best part of a year, and while last season was a relatively inconsistent tale of the tape, it gave Wild five months to assess the strengths and weaknesses of his squad and decide what was missing.

With a summer of recruitment behind him, he has built a squad in his image, or near enough, and they will be well drilled in his style of football. It should be remembered that Wild is a manager that has done well at both FC Halifax in the National League and Barrow in League Two, so his pedigree is not in doubt.

Ahead of this season, Fleetwood signed Toby Mullarkey from Crawley Town, former Bromley loanee Will Davies from Sutton United, full-back assist-king Denver Hume from Grimsby, and experienced strikers in James Norwood (Oldham) and Ched Evans (Preston).
