And just like that, we are back again for another season of League Two football.

Bromley start their season at newly relegated Shrewsbury Town; a tough fixture on paper, but one that Andy Woodman’s side will go into with no fear.

Off the pitch, the Shrews go into this encounter in a state of flux. The club is up for sale, but a protracted takeover fell through in March, leaving fans, players, and staff with a lingering sense of uncertainty.

Gareth Ainsworth left just before that announcement and joined Gillingham. That opened the door for Michael Appleton to become their new manager. However, taking over a club 14 points adrift with nine games to go was never going to lead to a miracle job.
