Preview: Stevenage vs Bromley - EFL Trophy
07.10.25, 18:47 Updated 07.10.25, 19:02

Top of League One. Best defence in League One. Only one defeat in League One. Stevenage are cooking.
Bromley head to the Lamex Stadium tonight knowing the challenge couldn’t be harder. In their first Vertu Trophy encounter, Stevenage travelled to fellow League One promotion chasers AFC Wimbledon and dispatched them 5-1.
While a certain amount of rotation is allowed in the competition, Stevenage won’t field anything that resembles a weakened side. If anything, some of the more established starters will be on the bench, ready to come on and affect the game if needed.
Alex Revell is in his second stint as Stevenage manager, having first managed them between February 2020 and November 2021. He returned in May 2024 and ended his first full season in charge with a 14th-place finish. Suffice to say, this season has witnessed an amazing change of fortunes.
