After Bromley’s exertions to get over the automatic promotion line, a performance dip was always likely. #ProjectChampions might be the master plan, but securing promotion was such an outstanding achievement that you can’t blame players for taking their eye off the next glittering ball. It’s just human nature.
Bromley weren’t bad at Salford, but they certainly weren’t at their efficient best. And for that, they were punished.
