Two seasons ago, people wanted to write Byron Webster off, but he confounded the naysayers to lead the Ravens to National League promotion, scoring the winning penalty no less.
Last season, they tried to write him off again, but Byron played 31 games as Bromley finished in a very respectable 11th place in their inaugural season in the Football League.
Byron Webster is 38 now, and while he will undoubtedly back himself to play a pivotal role in Bromley’s second season in League Two, a changing of the guard will need to take place eventually.
