EFL Awards: Who has the right narrative?

A little over three weeks ago, I asked which Bromley players, if any, could be contenders for League Two Player of the Season.
Generally speaking, if you are the ‘runaway’ leaders at the top of League Two, at least one of your players is likely to be nominated for some kind of major award. Yet such has been the team-spirit nature of Bromley’s achievements this season that it wasn’t immediately clear which player(s) would stand out to the selectors.
Last season, when Michael Cheek swept the awards, the narrative was clear: A non-league goalscoring legend, getting an overdue crack at the EFL, had led his team to comfortable safety and ended as the league’s top scorer. It was a no-brainer of a decision.
This season, a lot of Bromley players have contributed to what looks like a historic promotion campaign, possibly even title-winning, without anyone really staking a claim as ‘The Guy’.
