It was probably one of the worst-kept secrets in BR2, but the fact that neither Idris Odutayo nor Jude Arthurs had signed new contracts by the end of the season made it likely that one, if not both, were going to move on in the close season.
That has come to pass where Idris Odutayo is concerned, with the tenacious and composed left-back sealing a move to Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.
It is a move that seems to have caught a few fans off guard, and some don’t consider a move to Dundee as the appropriate step up in challenge. However, when you look deeper, Idris’s move across the border begins to make sense.
Lest we forget that former Bromley loanee Cameron Congreve has just played a full season on loan at Dundee. The youngster’s campaign at Dens Park saw him notch 3 goals and 7 assists in 31 league starts, leading the club’s combined goals/assists chart for the season.
