Bromley need reinforcements this summer, of that there can be no doubt.
There is a sense that this will be Andy Woodman’s busiest close-season to date, and as I understand it, he is already well into his work. He needs to be. Based on worst-case scenario forecasts, academy pro contracts notwithstanding, Bromley’s squad requires up to twelve new players ahead of the club’s inaugural League One season.
While Andy will almost certainly utilise the loan market, when it comes to permanent signings, given Bromley’s budget restrictions compared to their peers in League One, the Ravens may be wise to look at some of the better players who have been released from clubs in League Two.
At this point, every club in League Two has dropped their ‘retained list’ for 2026, and with that comes a slew of surprising names. Every season brings a fresh set of talented players who have either not been offered new terms or who are still in negotiations and therefore open to the market. Let the free-transfer game begin!
