For all of his success at Bromley, it feels like very few people truly understand Andy Woodman’s managerial mantra. Yes, he has a knack for articulating the game in a way that resonates with fans, but there’s much more to it than that. This is a man who, in his own right, should be considered a tactical wizard. 

If you think I’m pushing the boat out too far with that statement, how else do you explain how he has avoided defeat in 75% of the 203 league games that he has managed? 

Four and a half years after he first walked through the door at Bromley Football Club, there can be absolutely no doubt that he has transformed the team on the field. Widely recognised as one of the most upwardly mobile clubs in the country, Bromley have become synonymous with hard work, intensity, and a fierce will to win. It’s the type of mentality that has won Woodman plaudits and envious glances from rival fans up and down the country.
