The final home friendly of pre-season saw Bromley face another Championship side, this time West London’s Queens Park Rangers.

For Bromley, this game featured one half of a split squad, with Andy Woodman seeking maximum minutes for his squad across encounters with QPR and Barnet on Friday and Saturday respectively. In the end, however, Friday’s encounter merely served to lay bare Bromley’s lack of squad depth, and their higher-level counterparts delivered a stark footballing lesson as a result.

If you learn more in defeat than in victory, then Bromley have a lot of homework to do after this encounter.
