A local love-in got this year’s proceedings off to a start as Crystal Palace visited Hayes Lane for their first ‘full-strength’ pre-season fixture since 2017.
In recent weeks, Andy Woodman has put his charges through their paces with three tough tests against Sporting Lisbon B, West Bromwich Albion, and Chelsea (behind closed doors). The visit of Crystal Palace presented another top-tier challenge for the manager’s fledgling League One side, but this time they came out on top.
