So much has happened in the last 72 hours that the Peterborough game almost feels like a nuisance.

Yet 10 games into the League One season, this already has the hallmarks of a relegation six-pointer. Only 30% of the games Bromley have played this season have been against teams in the bottom nine, and their record is understandably better against those teams than the teams in the top 12.

In that regard, one might question why Andy Woodman was sacked, given he had a run of games against weaker teams.

The Posh come into this game with a new manager bounce, with Robbie Savage having been appointed in early October.

Since his arrival, Posh have beaten Ipswich U21s (h), Leicester City (a), drawn with Burton Albion (h), and lost to Huddersfield (a).

There has been a feeling of momentum around the club, but they are still in early-season trouble, sitting in 21st place with 9 points from 11 games.

Savage, in his early forays in management, has been described as insisting on a relentless approach from his sides, as seen with Macclesfield and then Forest Green Rovers, and it is expected he will demand the same from Posh.

He wants his sides to get forward, entertain fans, and score goals. In other words: Risk vs reward football.

Curiously, he will continue punditry work alongside his managerial role, and will carry on co-hosting BBC Radio 5 Live's football phone-in 606, and will be on-air for Sunday's edition from 18:30.

It's the type of thing no one cares about if you win, but it becomes a big problem if your side goes on a losing run.

So far, he has set out his side in a 4-2-3-1 and they have had plenty of shots on goal, looking like a greater attacking threat in the process.

That they are coming up against a Bromley side that has the worst defensive record in the league should make them confident of imposing their game on the beleaguered Ravens and getting a result.

Striker Harry Leonard leads the way for Posh in terms of a goal and assist threat, but it is Owura Edwards who is likely to be Bromley’s biggest problem with his pace and trickery.

The former Colchester man has always played well against Bromley, and having jumped up a level this season, he is undoubtedly the one to watch against a Bromley defence that was found wanting against pace on Tuesday night.

If Posh have a new manager bounce, it’s hard to decipher what Bromley have.

The decision to remove Andy Woodman has gone down like a hot bag of sick with the fanbase.

No matter which way you turn, few people can see a clear, coherent rationale for making the decision now.

It puts interim manager Byron Webster in an unenviable position to get a shell-shocked squad into gear for the Peterborough encounter.

Maybe it will free a few players from their psychological shackles, and they may turn in their best performance of the season, or perhaps it will go the other way, causing Bromley to sleepwalk through the game and lose.

Without a clear understanding of what Webster’s style of play looks like, it’s a guessing game as to what Bromley will do.

Byron joined the backroom staff in the last month and a half, and he has done his requisite UEFA qualifications. I conducted an interview with him a few seasons back where he made it clear to me that he would continue in the game after retirement and saw life as a manager in the future.

I don’t believe he will be Bromley’s permanent manager after Andy Woodman, but these are some useful reps for him to get in ahead of the new manager announcement.

I suspect Byron will want to pick a side that is defensively resolute out of possession but has pace on the attacking transition.

It's somewhat of a free hit for him, so he has nothing to lose in terms of trying to be a bit more expansive, but three points are three points.

Overall, you can't win games if you can't keep clean sheets, and any good Bromley side has started with a good defence.

I tried to take a stab at how Bromley might line up in The Eleven on From Bromley With Love’s YouTube channel. Watch that here.
