When these teams locked horns a little over three weeks ago, Bromley emerged with a 3-1 victory. In the three fixtures since, Crawley haven’t won. But that doesn’t necessarily tell the full story.

Battling draws against Oldham and Colchester were followed by a defeat at the hands of Swindon Town, but the Swindon fans I’ve spoken to concurred that their side were lucky to win.

Taking all of that into account, there might be an argument to say that Crawley are slowly building something ahead of the January transfer window.

The proof will be in this evening’s pudding, as Bromley visit the Broadfield Stadium looking to maintain their status as the in-form team in League Two. Eight league wins from their last nine have put the league on warning: Bromley are a formidable foe who refuse to accept defeat.
