Andy Woodman is big on targets.

A hallmark of his tenure at Hayes Lane has been getting the whole organisation to buy into his vision for the season. From first-team players to the catering staff, everyone is made aware of the target points total at the start of the season, helping to focus minds on the task ahead.

Taking it further, the management and first team have a chart that breaks down the points tally target for each month and quarter of the season. It’s why you so often hear the manager talk about being ‘bang on target’ at various points.

From the season’s outset, Andy Woodman made no bones about his intention to target the play-offs. At the halfway stage, his side have played 24 games and earned 48 points, putting them well ahead of their initial targets, which were very competitive in the first place.
