It’s squeaky bum time for Bromley, but do the numbers add up?

MACHEL HEWITT: Even at my most pessimistic, I find it hard to believe Bromley can't pick up a minimum of 14 points from their remaining fixtures.

I’m not a big fan of score predictions, too many variables are at play.

One week ago, everyone in the top five dropped points, with only Bromley winning. No one saw that coming, and it rather slams home the point.

If we want to talk about facts, Bromley and Swindon have eleven games remaining, while Cambridge United, MK Dons, and Notts County have twelve. Another fact is that, at the time of writing, Bromley have a seven-point gap over fourth place. That might change depending on the results of the games in hand, but it is true today.

Whatever the permutations, the automatic promotion places will go to three of the five teams listed above. Bromley are sitting in the driver’s seat, and they have the map in hand, but how treacherous is the road ahead?
