Narrative is King. Your mindset heading into Saturday’s league encounter with Peterborough probably determined how you saw the game.
If you were still smarting from Andy Woodman’s sacking, then you probably saw this as an improvement on recent performances while acknowledging that Bromley were up against one of the weaker sides in the division.
If you were glad to see the back of Andy Woodman, then you might have seen this performance as indicative of a brand new dawn, without acknowledging that 21st-placed Peterborough United were the opposition.
As ever, the answer sits in a grey area.
